Welcome to June and July

Summer in the Ägeri Valley is just weeks away… and honestly, it is one of the most beautiful times of the year to be here.

Some of us will be staying local, welcoming visiting family and friends, while others will head back to our home countries for a little summer reset before returning to Switzerland. No matter what your summer looks like, this edition of “What’s Happening in the Valley” is all about helping you make the most of the season here in the Ägerital.

Think mountain adventures, family hikes, boat rentals, playgrounds worth visiting, sunset aperos, summer festivals, and easy family outings. We’ve tried to include something in this edition for everyone, whether you are looking for relaxation, adventure, family time, or simply new places to explore together.

Reflecting Back on This Past Year

At the end of August, we will celebrate the first birthday of the Ägeri High Heels Membership… and what a lovely first year it has been.

Our membership has almost reached its original first-year goal of 150 active annual members. “What’s Happening in the Valley” has grown into a valuable resource for so many families living here, and together we have created real connections, friendships, support, and experiences throughout the community.

Thank you. Truly.

I am also quietly working on some membership enhancements that I hope to announce in September. In the meantime, keep showing up, keep connecting, and enjoy the journey we are building together.

But Summer Isn’t Here Just Yet…
Before we take our one-month summer pause, we still have several lovely events planned together, so make sure to keep an eye on the updates and come join us before everyone disappears into summer mode.

Ägeri High Heels will then take a short summer break from July 3rd until August 3rd. During this time, you won’t receive the regular weekly updates, but of course we will still be keeping an eye on the chats, and you can absolutely continue to reach out if you need anything.  The August newsletter will land in your inbox on August 3rd with a full Back to School focus to help everyone ease back into routines, activities, schools, schedules, and valley life again after summer.

Until then… enjoy the sunshine, enjoy the lake, enjoy the mountains, and enjoy this beautiful place we get to call home.

Thank you for being here, for showing up, for helping one another, for answering questions in the chats, for welcoming new people, for sharing recommendations, and for helping create the warm and supportive atmosphere this community has become known for.

xx Jody

Summer is here! At long last we are once again all “cooking” from the heat in our “Havianas”. A welcome break after a long school year, an opportunity to spend time with family and friends and enjoy all Aegeri has to offer. The only downside to having guests is keeping them entertained. There are often a variety of interests and ages that need to be taken into consideration, and this can make the whole process a little bit more stress-inducing than needed.  The Badi always provides a great activity, but when you're on day five of shelling out for your 100th plate of chicken nuggets, it is time for a change of scenery.

So, we have put together a few ideas for you that should hopefully give you some inspiration and make keeping everyone busy a bit easier.
