Naas Sod for the evening (Camping Lakeside)

Camping next to Aegerisee for an evening is a great opportunity for an evening of family and friend fun. There are a few camp site in our Valley, however we would recommend the Naas Sod site. Why we love it in short … You camp literally next to the lake, and in the morning they have amazing croissants.

Offers: Big camping site for tents right on the lake. Croissants that you can buy in the morning for breakfast.

Food options: Grill pits, firewood can be purchased on site. Gas canisters are also available, you need to contact them in advance if you want to cook on gas. There is a kiosk that sells small items such as drinks, chips, sweets, and garbage bags

How to reach: The easiest approach is from the Morgarten side, there is lots of parking for cars. For public transport, the easiest would be to catch the ferry and then it is a 4 minute walk, be warned, there is a hill.

Good for family: Yes

Good for older visitors: Yes if they are happy to sleep in tents / VW buses / Campervans

Wheelchair access: No. The campsite is easy to reach however, it is big grass area where the tents are pitched.

Please be aware the campsite only accepts cash as a payment method.

Wildspitz for the evening (Mountain Hut)

Last month we recommended visiting the Wildspitz Alpwirtschaft. However, if you are looking for an overnight destination with friends and family in slightly more comfortable surroundings than a tent then look no further. Why we love it in short … views, food, and beds! And if you want to hike up and spend the night, this is totally possible.

Offers: They offer accommodation for up to 24 people. They offer guests a three-course dinner and buffet breakfast

Food options: Restaurant

How to reach: It is obviously easiest to hike up. There are numerous parking spots along the way up where you can park and walk, depending on how long you want your hike to be.

Good for family: Yes

Good for older visitors: Yes. If they are fit and enjoy a hike, please also see comment below.

Wheelchair access: Yes. In special circumstances, there is the possibility of driving right up to the restaurant. This just needs to be organised in advance and there is a permit fee.
