One of the things I care deeply about is making everyday life here feel easier to understand and navigate, especially for international families.
And when it comes to schools, that’s often where the biggest questions sit.
Over the years, I’ve seen how many families are trying to piece together information about the Swiss school system, how it works, what the options are, and what it all means for their children. It’s not always straightforward, especially when each country has its own systems and guidelines. Finding a clear, reliable source to understand how the local school system works while also considering the possibility of relocating in the future can feel particularly challenging.
A Meaningful Collaboration
Through Ägeri High Heels’ relationship with FMZ (Fachstelle Migration Zug), we’re able to bring something truly valuable directly into our local community here in Ägeri. We will be hosting their information Talk about the Swiss School System here in Ägeri at Pete's place. The best part is that you won't have to leave Ägeri to access the valuable information FMZ has to offer.
In many ways, FMZ's work aligns with what we’re building within Ägeri High Heels, creating access to information, connection, and support right where families need it. Because of this shared focus, working together feels natural. It’s a relationship we’ve built over time, and one that is incredibly important to our community and me.

The Event - Understanding the Swiss School System Talk
We’re excited to welcome Cathy Newman from FMZ on 7. May to Ägeri for an evening focused on explaining the Swiss school system.
This session is designed for families who are:
already in the system and want to better understand it
considering local schooling
or simply looking for clarity on how it all works
You’ll receive a clear overview of the Swiss public school system and the vocational education pathway, along with practical insights to help you navigate key decisions. There will also be time for questions, so you can bring your own situation into the conversation.
Booking Information
Priority booking is open to Ägeri High Heels members until April 24th.
After that, registration will open more widely, but spaces are limited, and we do expect this event to fill quickly. If this is something you’ve been wanting to understand more clearly, I would really encourage you to secure your place early.
