If you have read our Swiss National Day Explainer, you know that August 1 is a big deal here in Switzerland. Both in Oberägeri and Unterägeri have celebratory events planned.

Unterägeri gathers in the Birkenwäldli for its traditional national day celebration. The afternoon kicks off at 11:30 with an apéro, followed at 12:00 by free risotto from the Nollenköche alongside a musical opening from the Feldmusik and the Tambouren Unterägeri.

Musical entertainment from the Kapfenburger Falken follows, and from 14:00 children can join in lantern-making, with a little ice cream surprise thrown in. The celebration wraps up at 17:00.
