A strong community that shines through rain, wind, and Halloween magic.
No matter the weather, Ägeri comes together. This year’s Trick or Treat was a true reflection of what happens when a strong community decides to make magic, even under grey skies.
The skies were heavy with rain, but that didn’t stop the laughter. From Strandweg to the Lido, the valley glowed with lanterns, music, and the sound of children in costume running through puddles. Wherever you went, you could feel it, the spirit of togetherness. Families pitched tents, hung fairy lights, and turned garages into colourful havens. Even as the drizzle fell, the warmth of the night came from the people who made it happen.
At the SC Frosch Clubhouse, the evening began with our Costume Parade, led by the ever-energetic Shooting Stars Minions. Children followed the parade through the park on a hunt for hidden Minions, their laughter echoing through the mist. Later, the fun continued on the Trick or Treat route - every time a child spotted a Minion, there was a burst of joy (and a little extra candy).
Thanks to Party Tales, parents were able to capture those moments at the new Photo Zone, a perfect addition that helped preserve the memories made that night.
Meanwhile, the Diner of the Dead team kept kids and parents warm with hot drinks and hearty meals, creating a cozy space where families could recharge before heading back out into the fun.
Just beyond the hub, Trunk or Treat Land at the Lido glowed like a festival of lights.

Families turned their cars into themed candy stops, a fire flickered by the lake, and the smell of hot drinks and popcorn drifted through the air. It was the newest addition to the event, and it immediately became a favourite gathering spot filled with smiles and laughter.

Pumpkin Land, hosted by our talented Pumpkin Ladies at Birkenwald Park, was another shining highlight of the night. For the first time, it had to be moved under a large tent due to the weather, but this didn't stop are Pumpkin Ladies who have been hosting this Land for over 8 years.

The warm orange glow, the rows of carved pumpkins, and the creative displays made it feel like stepping into a storybook. Visitors cast their votes for Most Creative, Scariest, and Funniest pumpkin, and the results did not disappoint. The winners are featured below - each one a little masterpiece that brightened even the rainiest of evenings.
And then came the Scare Experiences - four spooky stops that proved creativity is alive and well in Ägeri. From Scary Strasse on Höfnerstrasse to The Asylum on Seehofmatte, The Morgue on Riedmattstrasse, and Salem’s Lot on Seematt, the screams could be heard echoing across the valley. At one point, a line fifty people deep waited under umbrellas just for the chance to be scared. Every shriek ended in laughter, and every door that opened revealed another masterpiece of community spirit.
What makes this night truly special, though, is seeing the families and children enjoying themselves, laughing, exploring, and creating memories together.
Around every corner, there was a spark of joy: a small stegosaurus trying to walk down the road, two giggling Oompa Loompas holding hands, and a little mummy peeking out from behind her candy sack. Halloween brings out the best in our community - imagination, laughter, and the simple joy of being together.
Behind all of this magic stands an incredible team of volunteers. This year, we welcomed several new volunteers, and we are deeply grateful for their energy and enthusiasm. From check-in and candy distribution to guiding families and keeping things running smoothly, they are the heart of this night.
A special thank-you also goes to Zug Rugby Club and the ISZL Parent Association, who generously provided extra tents to help keep everyone dry and comfortable.
Events like this don’t happen on their own; they happen because people care enough to make them real. Every tent that went up, every pumpkin that glowed, every warm smile that greeted a child in costume it all added up to something unforgettable.
To everyone who helped, hosted, donated, or simply showed up - thank you. You turned a rainy night into a celebration of what makes Ägeri so special.
We’re already dreaming of next year’s Ägeri Trick or Treat, and we’d love for you to be part of it. If you’d like to help us make it happen by volunteering, hosting, or sponsoring, sign up early next year and join the team that turns rain into magic.
Thank you everyone for another amazing Trick or Treat. Next event to be sure not to miss is our Apres Ski Party in November.
