Founded in 1948 in the Aegerihof Restaurant, FC Ägeri has been at the center of our valley’s sporting life for decades. Although based in Unterägeri, the club serves the whole valley.

As of 2024, FC Ägeri had more than 430 junior members and 200 active members. With teams spanning all ages, including a senior team for players aged 60+—there truly is something for everyone.

The Polish Women`s team stayed at the SeminarHotel for the UEFA Women`s EURO 2025 tournament. In typical Ägeri spirit, the FC Ägeri Club facilitated bringing community, the club and sporting spirit together. Players from FC Ägeri and children from our local community accompanied the team out onto the field for their game against Denmark.

New Teams to Discover

The club continues to grow, with two exciting newer additions:

  • Girls’ Teams starting from the Saturday Football School (age 6), girls can now progress all the way through to the First Women’s Team. FC Ägeri has placed a strong emphasis on developing women’s football, offering specialized training for coaches and players, and welcoming more women into leadership positions on the club’s board.

  • Minis created in response to community demand, this program offers football fun for children as young as 4. In just a few months, the Minis have already kicked off with two groups of players, learning the building blocks of football in a playful, supportive environment.

How to Get Involved

  • Player Registration for males and females (all age groups): fcaegeri.ch/spieleranmeldung

    • Perhaps some of our AAH members were inspired by the Euros and want to get back onto the field … the club is particularly looking for female players in the 18 and over category and girls born in 2015.

  • Minis: Contact Koren Wakefield – koren.wakefield@gmail.com or Register here

Football and Beyond

While club communications and coaching are in German, FC Ägeri has a large international community, so both players and parents will feel very welcome (speaking from experience!).

Not a football player? No problem! You can:

  • Cheer on the teams at home games (join the WhatsApp group via QR the codes to get updates).

  • Visit the clubhouse and restaurant, which offer great food and drinks.

  • Stay tuned: work on a brand-new clubhouse begins this winter!
