February 2026 edition
Fasnacht Fun in the Ägeri Valley
This month, the Ägeri Valley, which is usually a serene place with stunning views, transforms into something completely different. A place where anything goes, full of color and full of FUN! Fasnacht is everywhere.
In this edition, we’re giving you everything you need to know about what's happening and how you can participate in this one-time-a-year event.
And if you haven't already noticed, this month, we are trying out a new format for the Newsletter. It is web-based, and we hope it makes your experience reading it a whole lot easier. Once you click deeper into a story, you can find more articles under Newsletter.
Enjoy the issue and happy Fasnacht,
Jody xx

Dear Jody,
There is so much happening in our villages this month, will I experience any problems with road closures or not being able to get to Zumbach's on Sunday?
Keeping an eye on the road,
Concerned Resident
Dear Concerned Resident,
During the Fasnacht period, when celebrations are happening in town, the main road gets shut down during the festivities. However, each town has a "Parade Route System," where cars and buses can get through. Bus routes and stops get moved, but are still functioning. You may need to just give yourself a little more time getting around during the Fashnacht Season.
Days to watch out for:
Sunday all day, February 14th, and Tuesday evening, February 16 th, Unteraegeri.
Tuesday afternoon, February 16th, Oberaegeri
Hope this helps,
Jody xx
