Ägeri on Ice (AOI) Is Back

Exciting news for winter in the Ägeri Valley: Ägeri on Ice is back! Save the date of December 9th for our Holiday Party on the Ice.
For more than a decade, Ägeri on Ice has been part of winter life in our valley. A place for families to gather and spend time together, friends to meet for fondue or a drink, a place for the kids to meet up with their friends and skate, and a place you always bump into someone you know.
You might remember back in November 2024 when the truck bringing materials for Ägeri on Ice slipped into the canal, and brought the AOI 2024/25 season to an end even before it got started. Since then, our local community has been looking for a way to bring AOI back, and that is exactly what has happened for us this year. A new team came together and created Aegeri on Ice GmbH. They found a new home and the funds to bring AOI back and have announced its new location in the heart of Unterägeri, the Sportwiese at Schulareal Acher in Unterägeri.
From 7 November 2026 until 27 January 2027, we will get it back.
A New Home in the Centre of Unterägeri
The exact location of Ägeri on Ice will be located next to the Ägerihalle, just behind the COOP, with everything together on one compact site: the ice rink, Fondue Stübli, bar, Take Away, Eisstock and Ice Minigolf. It is easy to reach on foot, and being close to the Unteraegeri school makes it especially nice for local kids and families.

There will also be special events including School on Ice, a Hockey Cup, Disco on Ice, live music and a New Year's Eve celebration.
Helpful Information
Tickets Children under 5: Free Age 5+: CHF 5 per visit Season Pass: CHF 60
If your kids are likely to skate regularly, the season pass is worth looking at. At CHF 5 per visit, it pays for itself after 12 visits.
Skate and Helmet Rental
Skates can be rented on site for CHF 5.
Helmets are CHF 3, and skating aids are also available.
QUICK TIP: AHH members can use Swap, Search or Sell chat to find 2nd hand skates and hockey equipment.
Fondue, Dinner or Just a Drink
The heated Fondue Stübli and Bar will be a big part of the new set-up, along with a Take Away. It is designed as somewhere families and friends can sit down, warm up and make an evening of it. And as always, serving local products from the Valley.
