If you have not yet done the Theatertour Ägeri, this is a genuinely enjoyable way to spend a morning and learn something about where you live at the same time. Guided by the mysterious time-traveller Zita, you follow a walking tour through Unterägeri and meet a cast of characters from different centuries, each bringing a piece of the village's history to life in front of the actual buildings and places where those stories happened. The tour covers about 400 years of local history, from the 17th-century parish priest to the founders of the old spinning mill. It runs around 90 minutes, is fully accessible, and takes place in any weather. Tickets are CHF 20 and available at seetickets.com or at the Oberägeri and Unterägeri municipal offices. A second date runs on 29 August.
