I, for one, always look forward to that special time in Switzerland when Christmas markets start popping up. As November settles in and the days grow shorter and colder, those strings of lights and the scent of roasted chestnuts seem to brighten everything up. Suddenly, even the dark evenings feel inviting, a reason to wrap up warm and wander through the festive-looking streets.
