Practise a Language, Share Your Culture and Connect with the Community
Updated: Aug 31
Registration is now open for the Ägeri High Heels Conversation and Cultural Exchange Programme. The course begins this October and places are limted.
We would like to welcome Swiss German/German-speaking women who would like to practise their English and English-speaking AHH members who would like to practise their German to sign up today. Space is limited, so contact Jody today if you are interested.
Running since 2019, this special programme brings local and international women together through language, culture and conversation. Last year, we welcomed a record 24 participants, making it our largest class since the programme began.
This is not your typical conversation course! The classes are about having fun, laughing and learning together. The goal is not only to practise a second language, but also to learn about one another, share personal experiences, traditions and cultures, and build genuine connections within our community.
Who Can Join?
We are looking for:
Swiss German or German-speaking women who would like to practise their English and meet women from other cultures.
English-speaking Ägeri High Heels members who would like to improve their German and connect with more local women.
You do not need to speak your second language perfectly. You simply need to be open, encouraging and willing to join the conversation.
Participation is free, and the English-speaking places are available to AHH members as part of their membership.
Would You Like to Join Us?
Whether you are a Swiss German/German speaker hoping to practise your English or an English-speaking AHH member wanting to improve your German, we would love to hear from you. Places are limited. To sign up, please message me directly. Jody 079 262 0066 or email at wecanwedowecare@gmail.com

A Commitment to the Group
Conversation and interaction are at the heart of this programme, so having consistent numbers at every class is very important.
When signing up, we ask everyone to commit to attending all five classes and to miss a class only in the case of an emergency. Your participation matters not only for your own experience, but also for your language partner and the rest of the group.
Made Possible Through Community Partnership
This programme has been supported by the Gemeinde Unterägeri, whose financial contribution and commitment to helping international residents integrate have played an important part in its success. We are also very grateful to the Frauengemeinschaft Unterägeri for generously providing us with space at the Sonnenhof.
It is partnerships like these, bringing local organisations, the Gemeinde and members of our international community together that help create a stronger and more connected community, which is one of our goals of the AHH community.
