Pfadi Flohmarkt: More Than a Flea Market - A Day to Support Local Scouts

The Pfadi Flohmarkt is so much more than a flea market ... it’s one of the biggest community days in the Ägeri and a wonderful way to support our local Scouts.
There are two big ways to support Pfadi:
Donate items you no longer use (as long as they are in good condition)
Shop the Flohmarkt and buy secondhand treasures
or of course… you can do both

8:25 the crowd grows before the bell sounds and the gates open
This is one of my favorite times of the year. I clear out items that still have plenty of life in them (for no cost) and know someone else in the community will benefit from them. And the following week, I can go to the Flohmarket and buy a whole bunch of cool eclectic stuff that I didn't know I needed.
Two big parts of the Pfadi Flohmarkt
Collection Day 2 May 2026
The Pfadi drives through the Ägeri Valley collecting usable, good-condition items from local households.
The Big Sale Day (Community Shopping Day) 9 May 2026
The following week, the doors open at the Ägerihalle, and the shopping begins.

What can you find?
Honestly… a little bit of everything.
The Pfadi Flohmarkt is known for its huge variety of items. You can find:
antiques and Swiss treasures
sporting goods
books and albums
kitchen items
garden supplies
toys and stuffed animals
arts and crafts materials
paintings and décor
small furniture
and all kinds of wonderfully random things
Why do people love it?
This is one of those events where you might arrive thinking, “I’m just going for a quick look.”… and leave with a stack of books, a kitchen find, a garden tool, a vintage item, and a piece of cake.

Even if you don’t end up buying a treasure, you can still support Pfadi by stopping by for a Pfadi burger or a slice of cake. I can almost guarantee you will get a chance to enjoy a good chat.
How it works
The Pfadi Flohmarkt runs in stages:
Collection Day (Sammeltag) 2 May 2026: first Saturday (approx. 9:00–16:00). No matter the weather, you place your stuff outside on the street and it's collected throughout the day.
Pickup by arrangement (during the following week): for small furniture and valuable items
Verkaufstag 9 May 2026 (sale day): second Saturday, 8:30–16:00, at the Ägerihalle in Unterägeri
A local tip for the day of the event: go early… or go twice
The morning is always exciting (and busy), with many people lining up before the doors open at 8:30, especially those hoping to spot antiques and special finds early.
But the fun part is that the Flohmarkt changes throughout the day. As things are sold and more items are brought out, the selection keeps shifting. That’s why many people come back a second time (and sometimes a third).
And later in the day, prices often start to come down, and there may even be a little room for friendly bargaining.
