Event Description
Kick off the holiday season Ägeri-style with one of the valley’s most magical traditions. This special evening is your chance too not only walk the glowing Lanternweg but to actually be the ones who light it for the whole community to enjoy! Add in hot punch, holiday cookies, and plenty of festive cheer, and you’ve got a night your family won’t forget. The best part is we wrap up the evening with a special guest, Samichlaus (and he speaks English).
Meeting Times & Plan
We’ll meet at 16:00 to begin lighting the candles (exact meeting point coming soon).
Can’t make the early start? No problem - join us later at the midway stop where we’ll gather for hot punch and holiday cookies, then walk the trail together in holiday spirit.
17:30, we will make our way to the Pfadiheim where we will have a visit from Samichlaus and Schmutzli. All children will receive a small gift from Samichlaus. (Please Twint Jody 5 CHF per child in advance with the name of your child(ren). We also recommend donating to the Samichlaus Veriern on the evening. All donations go to support local families in the Ageri Family who need some extra support.
A Valley Tradition Lanternweg has been part of Unterägeri’s holiday season for over 20 years. Created by volunteers as a gift of light in the dark winter, it’s become a symbol of togetherness and joy. Being part of lighting the trail is truly an honor - and now it’s your turn!
