SRF Came to the Valley – and Ägeri High Heels Got to Shine!

What a whirlwind and what an honor! Ägeri High Heels was chosen to be part of SRF’s Bi de Lüt series, and honestly, I’m still pinching myself. To be able to share our story with all of Switzerland, how we come together here in the Ägeri Valley to lift each other up, find our way, and make this place home was something really special.

The filming followed us through five amazing moments that show the heart of who we are:

• Patricia’s Journey – From Arriving in Switzerland to Finding Her Way Through FC Ägeri, Patricia opened her heart and shared what “integration” really looks like. The cameras even caught the U14 girls out on the pitch, showing off their stuff with so much pride and energy—what a perfect picture of the future!

• Cultural Exchange Classes – That spark of magic when internationals and locals sit together, share stories, and practice a second language—this is where friendship and understanding grow.

• Partnerships with the Gemeinde – None of what we do would be possible without the backing of our local Gemeinde, especially Unterägeri. Together we build bridges, share knowledge, and create opportunities for people to connect.

• Behind the scenes of  Ägeri High Heels – I got to pull back the curtain on why Ägeri High Heels began and how it has turned into something so much bigger than I could have dreamed.

• Celebrating Together – From laughing in the lake as our High Heels Water Polo team splashed around, to the joy of our “Welcome Back After Summer” party (this time at Pete’s Place, since the Badi was rained out), the cameras captured pure joy, energy, and the magic of being together.

And I have to say the SRF crew made it all so easy. Daniel, Michael, and Neil, you were a dream team. Professional, kind, curious, and so fun to work with. Thank you for helping us tell our story with such heart.

More than anything, I feel proud of our members, proud of our partners, and proud of our valley. Thank you to everyone who opened their doors, showed up, and supported us. Together we’re showing that community is alive and well in Ägeri, and it’s shining brighter than ever.

It’s going to be a heartwarming evening of music, stories, and community spirit—set against the breathtaking backdrop of Ägerisee.
